Sound Africa is East Africa’s leading record label, music distributor, event management and audio-visual production house. Founded in 2005 the company has since grown its network from Nairobi to cover the East Africa region with operations in Kampala – Uganda and Kigali - Rwanda.

As a record company, Sound Africa’s catalogue comprises some of the leading entertainment icons in the region. That distinction in audio production is complimented by top notch video production by its affiliate, Electronic Publishers, that was founded in 2007.

Sound Africa is indisputably the leading record company in East Africa with some of the highest selling and top ranked performers in the region. They include Kidum, Ambasada, Chumba, Diwani Nzaro, Iddi Achieng, Joseph Hellon, Kaz, Les Mangelepa, Queen Mashie, Super Mazembe, General Defao, Lydia Odhiambo, Jamnazi, Onyi Papa Jey, Group TK, Maroon Commandos and Titina.
With over 30 cds audio and 11 DVD recordings since 2007, Soundafrica’s portfolio is without comparison in an industry that is struggling with low investment and high piracy.

WORLD MUSIC DISTRIBUTOR

Soundafrica is the leading distributor of local and international music with a bias for the world and black genre.
International labels distributed by sound Africa include South Africa’s Sheer Sound, Gallo Records and African Cream, German Wrasse Records, Portugal’s Lusafrica, Francophone Buda Musique, Marabi, Cantos and Melodie, UK’s Sterns, Real World and EMI, Putumayo World Music and Universal among others. These labels comprise over 60 percent of the music market.
