Sound Africa is East Africa’s leading record label, music distributor, event management and audio-visual production house. Founded in 2005 the company has since grown its network from Nairobi to cover the East Africa region with operations in Kampala – Uganda and Kigali - Rwanda.
As a record company, Sound Africa’s catalogue comprises some of the leading entertainment icons in the region. That distinction in audio production is complimented by top notch video production by its affiliate, Electronic Publishers, that was founded in 2007.

Sound Africa is a household name in showbiz with a distinction for producing high calibre entertainment. Current productions include Afrodizzia and Celebrate, broadcast weekly on Citizen TV and La Rumba which airs every Monday and Tuesdays on KBC.
Afrodizzia is a top ranked 2-hour music show that showcases authentic African music to promote and preserve African creativity and entertainment. The program presents Africa in its full scope and cultural diversity. The show features mainly African legends of music and emerging stars. Celebrate music show features Christian African praise and worship by individuals and top choirs from around the continent such as the Soweto Gospel Choir, Joyous Celebration, Mavuno Church Choir, London Community Choir, and local artists whose music has an African appeal.
La Rumba is a La Rumba is a nostalgic music mix of the best rumba musical talent. La Rumba is a pulsating one hour feature of classic and contemporary artists of
mainly Lingala music that caters to the needs of a more mature consumers of African music and art who have been shut out by hip hop and other westernized musical genres targeting the youth that have taken over TV entertainment.

One of our strengths is event management. Whether it is big concerts or small events, Soundafrica presents the best face of public and private entertainment. Soundafrica has staged big concerts to audiences across East Africa ranging from the Afromixx nights in Nairobi to theme nights in other cities around the country. Artistes presented by Soundafrica include Congolese songstress Mbilia Bel, Tanzanian legends DDC Mlimani Park Orchestra, the inimitable Saida Karoli and General Defao. Sound Africa regularly hosts concerts at major venues and scouts for talent through events. It is one of the major sponsors of Tusker Project Fame.
Sound Africa pulled off one of the biggest events in recent times in Kigali Rwanda dubbed “TUUKATE” in December 2009 in partnership with MTN Rwanda, attracting a crowd of 5000 people. Our own Soundafrique Band is notably one of the best live bands to grace Nairobi in recent times.
